The building is adjacent to famous “Psalty Passage.” In the past it is very unlikely to see commonhold and in many conditions it is very probable that one apartment belongs to one owner. The building has knew as “Yannissopoulo Han”, the name of the owner who is a shoemaker living in intersecting Street, Otçu St. Nar Yannissopoulo and the neighbour building Şahkulu 18 which designed in accordance to the design elements of Neo-Classical period of Ottoman’s, giving service as a residence with 10, one bedroom and 7, studio flats. The buildings are distanced 150 m away from Galata Towers and 200 m away from lodge of “Galata Mevlevi Dervishes.”
